2012 Comes to a Close

The year 2012 has come to a close. Happy new year to all. It’s been quite some time since the last blog post…I lost my login information for this blog and now happy to report that it has been retrieved. Files have been updated in the “download” section of this blog. The Association participates in the Neighborhood Watch program offered by the Waterford Police Department. Periodic emails are sent to the Bayside Beach email address from the police department and forwarded to Bayside residents who have asked to be included in the notification system. If you are interested in being a part of the notification system, send an email to BaysideBeach2@aol.com with your name and street address with the email subject “Yes – Neighborhood Watch.” Your email will be added to the notification system sent out whenever the police department sends emails to the Beach email.

The Executive Board meeting was held on June 20, 2012, and the Annual Meeting was held on July 17, 2012. The Meeting Minutes are HERE. It was voted to hire someone to seal the beach driveway was was completed in August. Also, the purchase of benches for the beach was approved; those benches have been purchased and received and will be place on beach property in the 2013 season. Dues and fees remained the same for 2012.

The beach property survived Hurricane Sandy without damage although it is apparent that repairs will be necessary to the dock in 2013. The beach sand continues to wash out and the daily abundance of seaweed continued to be problematic.
